We hope everyone had a great summer and is ready for a new season of dance. This season's schedule is already filling up with performance dates, dance camp, and intensives! The first step to joining our school is to stop by our Punxsy studio on Saturday August 28 for our Fall Open House Registration. We will be open from 9am to 1pm. Participants are invited to tour the studio, meet our faculty, and watch footage from our past season's performances.

In addition to registering for classes, you will also have the opportunity to stop by Waltzing Matilda, our in-house dance supply store. We can fit you for pointe shoes and other dance apparel.

Gearing up for Forest Dancing 2011

We have successfully completed another year of Forest Dancing which means it's time to start planning for another year of Forest Dancing. While we are busily getting together themes and choreography, you can register to reserve your spot for June 19-24, 2011. In addition to registration, gift certificates are available to give that special dancer in your life a weeklong experience that they will treasure for years to come. We will be posting a link to an image gallery from the 2010 session in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates and hope to see you all at the Clarion River Lodge in Cooks Forest for Forest Dancing 2011.

25th Anniversary Gala Celebration was an Event to Remember

Thank you to all the performers, crew, organizers, promoters, and attendees for making this grand anniversary celebration so successful. We put a lot of hard work into getting the production and were elated to see it all come together. We hope you all enjoyed sharing the moment as much as we enjoyed performing for you. Photos of the concert will be made available through Emmagraph Photography in the coming weeks.

Upcoming Classes

We have two Summer Intensives: July 5-9 and August 2-12.

Fall registration will be held on August 28, from 9:00-1:00 at the Punxsy studio. Classes will be offered in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, ballroom dancing. Special classes are also available in acting, social graces, and exercise.

Tickets go on Sale for our 25th Anniversary Gala Performance

On Friday, May 28, we will be holding an evening of performances at the Punxsy Middle School Theater. This event will commemorate the over 25 years of Van Dyke and Company has spent teaching and showcasing dance in Punxsy. In addition to students who are currently enrolled with us, there will also be alumni joining in the evening's performances.

We will be having a reception at Van Dyke and Company following the showcase. The reception is only open to students and alumni. Please call us at our main office or send us an email with any questions or concerns. If you are an alumni and have not done so already, please fill out our survey to help us prepare for the big night.

As a former student at Van Dyke and Company, you are an important part of the history and growth of our studio. Updates on Princing and Faculty for Forest Dancing 2010

It has been a cold and snowy winter for Pennsylvania residents so far and has made the days of summer seem so far off. In reality it is less than four months until we make our way to the Clarion River Lodge for Forest Dancing 2010.

We will have a cast of outstanding faculty returning to this year's camp. Students that have attended before will recognize many familiar faces. Our theme this year will be "Under the Sea."

Pricing and Due Dates for Student Applications and Tuition:

Non-refundable Application fee for all students - $35.00

due by June 1

Early bird registration Tuition by May 1 - $465.00 (resident students)

after May 1 - $490.00

Day students Tuition - $325.00

Pricing and Due Dates for Teachers:

Nonrefundable application fee for teachers - $35.00

Teacher Workshops - $245.00

Workshop is free for teachers with five or more referred students attending Forest Dancing.

Forest Dancing

Forest Dancing is an intensive summer dance workshop sponsored by Van Dyke and Company, a place to dance. Classes in Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Tap. Special classes will be offered in Yoga, Social Dance, Conditioning for Dancers, and Dance History.

Activities include: Art, Swimming, Hiking, Camp Fires, "A Night at the ...Theatre", Canoeing, and Talent Show! An informal "Dance Sharing" will be performed on Friday June 25 at 11 P.M. for the public followed by a Farewell Picnic for friends and family.

Tuition includes beautiful accommodations at the Clarion River Lodge, Resort and Spa along the scenic Clarion River, three meals per day, and all classes and activities. An outstanding value!

Guest faculty include world reknown educators/choreographers and artists! Come and experience an intesnsive week of dance and fun in the forest!
